If not Bhagwat Geeta then what kids should recite Fatawa -e- Alamgir?

Mumbai: BJP MLA Nitesh Rane wrote a letter to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray amid the issue of reciting Bhagwat Geeta in BMC Schools.  He calls opposition to this proposal by Samajwadi Party as ‘unfortunate.’

In the letter he wrote, “The way Indian ‘Yoga’ has been accepted by world, and now they are practicing it as there is no barrier of religion in this. Same way ‘Bhagwat Geeta has got attention on Global platform as many foreign universities are conducting further studies on this. One of the universities in USA, Seton hall University has a special management program in which they teach Bhagwat Geeta. The entire world is studying Philosophy and teaching of Bhagwat Geeta and no corporates are also not exception to this because this holy book shows the road to life.”

Further he writes that reciting Bhagwat Geeta will help develop personalities of kids. He writes, “There is no doubt that recitation of Bhagwat Geeta will help kids in the process of developing their personality. But if there is opposition to reciting Geeta then should ask kids to recite Aurangjeb’s ‘Fatawa -e- Alamgir’ ? So that in every home person like Mukhtar Ansari will be born.”

He further appeals Chief Minister to succumb down to the pressure created by few, who are opposing the proposal of reciting the Bhagwat Geeta and accept the notice moved by BJP corporator.
