Bhopal: In Satna, Madhya Pradesh, a statue of Jawaharlal Nehru was vandalized. A video that went viral on social media showed a dozen people attempting to destroy the statue with sticks and rocks. One of them even uses a hammer to try to shatter the statue.
The event occurred yesterday evening at Dhavari square, roughly 50 meters from the district collectorate.
In the footage, the perpetrators can be seen waving saffron flags and yelling slogans against the Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led BJP government.
