NEW DELHI| On Tuesday hours after the Citizenship Amendment Bill passes in lower house Congress MP Rahul Gandhi criticized the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill as a move that would “destroy the foundation” of India.
Rahul Gandhi gave his reaction through his twitter handle stating, “The #CAB is an attack on the Indian constitution. Anyone who supports it is attacking and attempting to destroy the foundation of our nation”.

Priyanka Gandhi also slammed Centre over the Citizenship Amendment Bill. She tweeted saying our forefathers gave their lifeblood for our freedom and rights. We will fight against this government for destroying our Constitution.
Our constitution, our citizenship, our dreams of a strong and unified India belong to ALL of us.
We will fight against this government’s agenda to systematically destroy our constitution and undo the fundamental premise on which our country was built with all our might.

P. Chidambaram said CAB itself and passing CAB is unconstitutional. Elected parliamentarians are abdicating their responsibilities in favor of lawyers and Judges.
