Bengaluru: Two people have died in Bengaluru, where thunderstorms triggered by the southwest monsoon have caused flooding and power outages in many parts of the city. In many sections of rural and urban Bengaluru, the weather service has issued an Orange signal, expecting heavy rain for the next 4-5 days.
In Ullal upanagar, the two people murdered in the downpour were both laborers. Officials claimed the remains of the two guys, one from Bihar and the other from Uttar Pradesh, were discovered at the pipeline construction site.
According to reports, the city received above 155 mm of rain, which started in the evening and intensified late last night.
Videos showed automobiles and people wading through knee-deep water in various low-lying regions. In one of the films, a Mercedes SUV was shown stalled on a city road with two wheels in the air.
The Metro on the Green Line had to be stopped owing to a power outage induced by the thunderstorms, which had a brief impact on service.
JP Nagar, Jayanagar, Lalbagh, Chickpet, Majestic, Malleswaram, Rajajinagar, Yeshwantpur, MG Road, Cubbon Park, Vijayanagar, Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Kengeri, Magadi Road, and Mysore Road, among others, were among the locations impacted.
