Mansa: Days after Singer Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead after his security was curtailed with 424 others, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann on Friday visited the singer’s family.
Heavy police security has been deployed outside the residence of Moose Wala as Mr. Mann reached Moosa village to express his condolences to the family.
“How did it matter with the (deployment of) four persons with our son? Will your coffers be filled now? Fill your coffers,” Mosse Wala’s mother had said slamming the AAP government after her son’s murder.
The Family had also demanded a CBI or NIA Probe.
Some leaders of the AAP had questioned why Moose Wala was traveling in a vehicle that was not bulletproof and did not have the two guards that were still assigned to him?
The Chief Minister had to face slogan-shouting protesters on Friday morning who tried to stop him from entering the Moosa village, The protesters also raised slogans against the state government.
However, the police stated that no one was being stopped from entering the village.
“Our cars are being stopped from entering the village. Our relatives’ vehicles are not being allowed to enter,” a villager claimed.
Senior officials of the administration and the police reached the spot of protest to calm down the situation.
The Punjab and Haryana High Court was on Thursday informed that the security cover of 424 VIPs which was scaled down temporarily will be restored from June 7.
