“We Have Done Metro Work And The Public Also Knows This”: Devendra Fadnavis

Tomorrow, on the auspicious time of Gudi Padwa, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray will flag off 2 metro railway lines Metro 2A and Metro 7. Both these lines are being implemented on April 2, after 8 years of the introduction of the Paheli Metro Railway line in Mumbai. Devendra Fadnavis, who was the Chief Minister of the state and who tried to have a network of metro railways in Mumbai, has now taunted the MVA government.

While talking to the media in Nagpur, he said, “We started the work of Metro, which has now been completed during the tenure of this government. There is no credence in this because the public knows everything. But the way we worked, if this government also resolves the issue of Aarey Carshed at the earliest, then the stuck metro line 3 can also start in 9 months. Otherwise this metro line will not start for 4 years even though more than 80% work is done. In Mumbai, such posters have been put up on behalf of the BJP, thanking Devendra Fadnavis for the metro. These posters have been specially put up on the Western Express Highway, which is the route of both the metro lines.

On April 2, Uddhav Thackeray will inaugurate Metro 2(A) and Metro 7 lines. The government expects from this that the vehicles which are crowded on the way and the tension which remains on the local train will get the job done. Both these lines are elevated lines.

2(A) will connect Dahisar West to Andheri DN Nagar (West) while the other line Metro 7 will connect Dahisar East to Andheri East. Due to which people living in the western suburb of Mumbai will get a convenience. The Metro 7 line is about 33 km long with 29 stations, while the 2(a) line is 18 km and will have 17 stations.
