Went To P Chidambaram Myself With Goa Offer: Trinamool’s Pavan Varma

New Delhi: The Trinamool Congress today denied the comments made by Congress leader P Chidambaram. TMC stated that a concrete offer was made.

Chidambaram commented that “no concrete offer for an alliance” in Goa for the February-March election.

Pavan Verma has stated that he went and made the offer. “I met Mr. Chidambaram in Delhi in December. I made a concrete offer to the Congress,” Trinamool Congress leader Pavan Varma told NDTV.

He says that he is disappointed with Mr. Chidambaram. “I am dismayed, disappointed, and also surprised at how Mr. Chidambaram, a senior Congress leader who has been Finance Minister and Home Minister, is attempting to mislead people,” he said.

Mr. Chidambaram had already said there was “no concrete offer but a suggestion that there should be an alliance.”
