Western Railway Announces New Digital Initiatives For Ease Of Commuters

Mumbai: Western Railway unveiled a new single-window website for Mission Amanat and enhanced e- Meri Saheli web portal on Sunday. Passengers can now check whether their luggage that went missing or was lost in railway premises or trains.

Western Railway unveiled a new single-window website for Mission Amanat and the enhanced e- Meri Saheli web portal on Sunday as part of the digital India initiative.The information of missing luggage as well as photographs are posted on the official website of WR, www.indianrailways.gov.in, under the mission Amanat campaign.Passengers can now check whether their luggage that went missing or was lost in railway premises or trains is available at the lost property office centers at stations in any of the six divisions of the WR using a single window, according to chief spokesperson Sumit Thakur.This will help passengers to locate and return their lost luggage.

He said the primary aim is to ensure the availability of RPF officers and, in turn, provide an adequate level of protection to all lady passengers travelling alone in trains.
