As per the joint application, other AAP leaders along with Kejriwal, Sanjay Singh, Deepak Bajpai, Raghav Chaddha and Ashutosh had made an apology to Jaitley with regards to alleged irregularities in the DDCA.
A court in Delhi today acquitted, Arvind Kejriwal, the Delhi chief minister along with others in a criminal defamation case filed against them by Arun Jaitley the Union finance minister after taking consideration the joint application filed by them to get the matter settled.
Samar Vishal, the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate took into consideration the joint application after Kejriwal had made an apology to the BJP leader for making derogatory remarks to the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) row.
As per the joint application, other AAP leaders along with Kejriwal, Sanjay Singh, Deepak Bajpai, Raghav Chaddha and Ashutosh had made an apology to Jaitley with regards to alleged irregularities in the DDCA.
It was on 5 August last year that Kejriwal along with certain AAP leaders had accused Jaitley of making a series of “false, scandalous and defamatory” accusations against him asserting it affected his repute adversely.
Vishwas was not given an apology and therefore the proceedings against him shall keep on going. The leaders of the AAP had accused Jaitley of financial irregularities in the DDCA when Jaitely was its president from the years of 2000 to 2013 after which Jaitley filed in a defamation case.
