A Bird flu outbreak was detected in a poultry farm in Andhra Pradesh.
Officials say a few chickens were found positive for the H5N1 avian influenza virus at Rama Ramakrishna Poultry Farm in Kanuru Agraharam village, East Godavari district.
Currently, the farm has been sealed, red zone declared in a one-kilometre radius and 10 kilometres as a surveillance zone.
The district administration has banned chicken and eggs in the area.
A district official stated, “We urge the public not to panic but to remain cautious and report any unusual bird or animal deaths in the area.”
