Sensex Down Over 1,000 Points

Wednesday witnessed a massive drop in Indian shares. The primary reason behind the drop is seen as  HDFC’s share turning red after its Q3FY24 results. The S&P BSE Sensex dropped 1,071.18 points at 72,057.59 at 11:30 am, while the NSE Nifty50 declined 294.40 points to 21,737.90. The bloodbath at Dalal Street marked the biggest fall in the benchmark indices 2024. Following the slide, the market capitalisation of all BSE-listed companies fell by roughly Rs 2 lakh crore.
