CBSE paper leak row: 3 staff members of a school in Himachal Pradesh arrested

Three people from the state of Himachal Pradesh, including a teacher, have been nabbed for allegedly leaking the Economics question paper for Class 12 of CBSE. The accused were arrested today on Saturday in the morning.

The Crime Branch Deputy Commissioner of Police, Dr Ram Gopal Naik stated that Rakesh Kumar, a Post Graduate Teacher in a private school in the district of Una, Ashok Sharma the principal of the school and Amit who is a clerk have been arrested today.

The police also stated that the accused somehow got hold of the question paper just two days before the examination was to happen and copied the questions on a paper and distributed them.

Dr Naik said that a constant tab was being kept on the accused during the investigation and his team had gone to Una on Friday for this purpose. He said, “Recce was conducted, the accused were identified and questioned. They were brought to Delhi in the early hours of Saturday after which the arrest came into effect”.

Earlier, two people including a teacher were arrested from a private school in the district of Bawana in connection with the case. It was last Sunday that Rohit Vats, Rahul Antil, teachers at Mother Khazani Convent School and a tutor by the name of Tauqeer were nabbed last Sunday.
