Court Denies Bail To Driver Sanjay More In Kurla BEST Bus Crash

On Friday, a sessions court in  Mumbai denied bail to the driver of the BEST bus driver named Sanjay More, who was involved in the bus crash on 9 December 2024; in the crash, 9 people were killed, and more than 40 were injured in Mumbai’s Kurla area.

Sanjay More has been arrested under the provision of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
The accused, driver Sanjay More, had claimed that the accident resulted from a mechanical fault in the bus and that he had been unjustly arrested.

The prosecution, however, contended no technical fault was found in the bus.
Additional session judge VM Pathade heard the argument from both sides and, after hearing, rejected More’s bail plea, news agency PTI reported.
