Ex-Trainee IAS Puja Khedkar’s Father Booked For ‘Altercation At Collector Office’

Dilip Khedkar, father of ex-trainee IAS Puja Khedkar, has been booked over an alleged altercation with officials at the Pune Collector’s office in June. As per the FIR, Mr. Khedkar was allegedly involved in an argument with officials seeking a separate cabin for his daughter. A retired government official, Dilip Khedkar was also booked in a case of criminal intimidation filed by the Paud police in Pune.

A committee comprising 21 Lok Sabha MPs and 10 Rajya Sabha MPs has been constituted to review the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2024. Union Minister Kiren Rijiju proposed the name of 21 Lok Sabha MPs including Nishikant Dubey, Tejasvi Surya, Kalyan Banerjee, Asaddudin Owaisi and Imran Masood The Rajya Sabha has been asked to submit a list of 10 MPs for the same. Yesterday, the bill to overhaul the Waqf Act 1995 was tabled in Lok Sabha and sent to the joint parliamentary committee.
