Forget past, think about future: Sri Sri to Kashmir people

Anti India, Pro Zakir Musa slogans raised amidst lecture

Srinagar: Spiritual guru and Art of Living (AoL) founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar today witnessed anti-India and Pro Zakir Musa slogans in Kashmir amidst his lecture in SKIIMS Srinagar.

Sri Sri even cut short his speech after the participants alleged that they were brought there for some other purposes like issuing of cricket kit and money.

Later while speaking to scribes Sri Sri asked people of Kashmir to forget the past and think about future.

He said that he is even ready to play any role in establishing peace in Kashmir if asked by the centre and he is ready for the same whenever needed.

When asked if he is so close to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi why he doesn’t persuade him to take a political initiative, he said: “I am not so close to BJP.”

He said that there should be no killings of humans whether civilian or soldiers as it is always.painful.

Sri Sri declined to comment over Ram temple-Babri Masji row while he condemned the killings of civilians in Syria.

He made clear that he is apolitical and want peace in Kashmir. “If there is injustice, I will stand for that. We should forget the past and think about future”.
