Government Issues High Security Warning For Apple Users

The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has issued a warning regarding a “high” severity vulnerability found in Apple products, posing a risk of remote code execution by hackers. The vulnerability, affecting devices running iOS and iPadOS versions prior to 17.4.1, allows unauthorized access to the targeted system, enabling the execution of arbitrary code.

Specifically, users of older software versions of iPhone and iPad are at risk. The affected devices include various models released before the specified updates, such as iPhone XS and earlier, certain iPad Pro models, iPad Air, and iPad mini. The warning emphasizes the importance of updating the latest software versions for enhanced security.
