HC Rejects Plea Seeking CBI Probe Into Alleged Muda Scam

In a relief to Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah,  The High Court has rejected a plea seeking CBI investigation into the alleged Muda scam involving Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, wife.

The writ petition was filed by RTI activist Snehamayi Krishna, seeking the transfer of the Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) site allocation case to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

The HC, in its order, said. โ€œInsulation of Lokayukta from external influence is already recognised by Supreme Court and High Court. There is no malady to direct CBI to investigate instead. CBI investigation is not a solution to projected ills in the petition.โ€
