AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi said that Bilawal Bhutto does not know what happened to his grandfather and mother
AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi, who has been outspoken against Pakistan following the brutal terror strike in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam on April 22, criticized Pakistani politician Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari for his threatening comments regarding the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty.

During a public meeting in Sukkur, Pakistan’s Sindh province on Friday, Zardari warned India with “blood”. He said that it would be so if it did not adhere to the 1962 treaty and permit water to flow to Pakistan.
His statements emerged after India downgraded its diplomatic relations with Pakistan and announced a series of actions, which included expelling Pakistani military attaches, suspending the Indus Water Treaty of 1960, and promptly closing the Attari land-transit post in response to the Pahalgam terror attack that occurred on April 22.
Additionally, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader alleged that India was unjustly accusing Pakistan of the terror attack. This was during the rally.
When questioned about Bilawal’s remarks, Owaisi told reporters, “Arre chhodo… bachpane ki baatein nahi karna (Leave it, don’t make childish remarks). He does not know what happened to his grandfather.”
“He does not know what happened to his valda (mother). His mother was killed by terrorists at least he should not be making such remarks. Does he even know what he is saying?” Owaisi added.
Interestingly, Bilawal’s grandfather, former Pakistan President Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, faced arrest and execution in 1979 connected to a controversial murder case under the regime of military dictator Gen Zia-ul-Haq.Critics heavily condemned the trial for its lack of fairness and due process. The Supreme Court acknowledged this in March last year.
Zulfikar, one of the nation’s most prominent leaders, lost power when his chosen army chief Zia ousted him. Authorities then alleged that he orchestrated the murder of a political adversary, Ahmed Reza Kasuri. He became the first former Pakistani Prime Minister to face hanging.
Assassins killed Bilawal’s mother, Benazir Bhutto, the first female Prime Minister of Pakistan, in Rawalpindi on December 27, 2007. Her liberal policies had drawn opposition from extremist factions in Pakistan.
The AIMIM MP has generally faced criticism from saffron party supporters. But his comments on Pakistan in the aftermath of the terror attack have garnered him acclaim on social media. This was after he attributed responsibility for the attack to Pakistan.
