Air India Suspends All Flights To Tel Aviv Amid Tensions In West Asia

Tata Group-owned Air India announced today that all flights to and from Tel Aviv have been suspended amid tensions in the region. The airline said passengers with a confirmed booking would receive a full refund. Air India also stated that it is closely monitoring the situation and will provide updates as needed.

India’s External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar said in Lok Sabha that the country was awaiting the release of 69 Indians from the Russian army. He said that this matter was taken up seriously by the government. Jaishankar said: “We should not jump the gun and say Russians are not serious on this matter..”.  Reports say Russian President Putin had agreed to discharge all Indians from its army following his meeting with PM Modi.
