Avalanches Leave 1,000 Tourists Stranded In Remote Chinese Village

According to state TV, approximately 1,000 tourists remain stranded in the remote Hemu village in China’s Xinjiang region due to avalanches. Road access to the scenic village near Kazakhstan, Russia, and Mongolia has been blocked for days. Continuous snowfall triggered avalanches along highways, with some tourists rescued by helicopter.
