Elon Musk sacked 90% of Twitter staff in India and now claims that the service is too slow in the country
New Delhi: Since the billionaire Elon Musk gained control over Twitter, existing employees are working non-stop to provide the finest experience ever. Elon Musk said that in most of the countries like India and Indonesia Twitter App is working slow. The Twitter CEO wants to resolve the problem quickly. Amid the ongoing layoffs in Twitter globally, 90% of Twitter India’s staff has been sacked.
Earlier this week , Elon Musk Expressed Regrets to user for the slow performance of Twitter app in some of the regions. “I would like to apologize for twitter being working very slow in many of the countries. App is doing >1000 poorly batched RPCs just to render a home timeline!â he said in one of the his tweets.
Musk alleges that he and Twitter staff is working hard to improve the performance of the app. But some Twitter employees raised their voice against Musk’s assessment. They have called Musk’s assessment ‘inaccurate.’ It seems to be that Elon Musk is in no mood to hear recommendations and criticism because he terminated the engineers for criticizing him on Twitter. Musk fired those employees who spoke against him in internal slack group.
Now according to Elon Musk the Twitter app is not working well as compared to the initial days of the app. In comparison its performance in some countries is quite poor. He claims âTwitter refreshes in about 2 seconds in the US, compared to India where it could take about 10 to 20 seconds.â Musk also alleges that there are some part of the world where its taking 30 seconds for Twitter to refresh. The billionaire thinks ‘bad batching/verbose comms’ may be the reasons that Twitter is working slow.
