France Becomes First Country To Legalize Abortion As Constitutional Right

On Monday, France made history by amending its constitution to affirm the right to abortion, a groundbreaking decision celebrated by womenโ€™s rights advocates and condemned by anti-abortion factions. During a joint parliamentary session at Versailles Palace near Paris, the amendment received strong support from both MPs and senators, with 780 votes in favour and 72 against.
