The military set a 4 pm (local time) deadline for Gaza City residents to evacuate to a designated humanitarian zone, cautioning that Hamas might obstruct their southward movement. Although Hamas was expected to release at least 50 hostages or 150 Palestinian prisoners during the truce, the exchange did not occur as planned.

Israel suggested a potential delay in the breakthrough deal, marking the culmination of almost seven weeks of conflict. The situation remains tense, with uncertainties surrounding the truce and the release of hostages, highlighting the complex dynamics in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas in Gaza.
