US President Joe Biden withdrew from the presidential race on Sunday and endorsed VP Kamala Harris as the Democratic Party’s nominee. Biden said his decision to end his re-election bid was in the “best interest of my party and country”. This comes four months ahead of elections and amid growing concerns surrounding 81-year-old Biden’s health. The Democratic Party’s official nominee will be picked next month and will face Republican nominee Donald Trump.
