As a total solar eclipse traversed North America on Monday, cities in Mexico, the US, and Canada experienced darkness. The eclipse began at 11:37 pm IST in Mazatlan, Mexico, marking North America’s first total eclipse since 2017. The duration of totality varied up to four minutes depending on the observer’s location. A partial eclipse, where the moon covers only part of the sun, was visible across most of the continental US outside the total eclipse’s path.
