New Delhi| Three days after the Monday night clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers at Galwan Valley in Ladakh, China has released 10 Indian soldiers, a report published in Hindustan Times said. The report quoted ‘people familiar with development’ in Ladakh. The release of 10 Indian soldiers followed the intense negotiation between the two countries after the violent face-off.
The report quoting anonymous sources said that the released 10 Indian soldiers included two officers. It also mentioned that the soldiers will be sent for Medical examination and will be debriefed.
The last time Indian soldiers were captured by the Chinese in border face-off was in 1962.

20 Indian soldiers were martyred in the violent face-off at Galwan valley including one commanding officer. There were unconfirmed reports that some Indian army soldiers are being held captive by Chinese soldiers. However, the army hadn’t officially confirmed the same.
On Thursday evening, the army had said that all the soldiers involved in the deadly face-off were accounted for. “It is clarified that there are no Indian troops missing in action,” the army had said.
However, it must be noted that the Army hasn’t officially confirmed either the capture or the release of Indian soldiers.
