3-Year Old Boy Survives Kashmir Terror Attack, Cries Inconsolably Near Dead Grandfather

According to the reports, the boy was numb and scared after his grandfather was caught in the crossfire. The boy, miraculously enough survived.

 

Srinagar| The early morning terrorist attack on CRPF in Jammu and Kashmir’s Sopore left one soldier and a civilian dead. Heartwrenching images from the site of attack now show a three-year-old boy who sat near his grandfather as he was lying dead on the ground. The boy crying inconsolably was trying to wake his grandfather who was bleeding.

According to the reports, the boy was numb and scared after his grandfather was caught in the crossfire. The boy, miraculously enough survived. In images from the site, it can be seen, a J&K Police taking the boy away from the crossfire site and carrying him to his house in his arms.

Another video shows the boy with chocolates and candies in his hands and soiled clothes inconsolably crying. The Jammu and Kashmir Police also tweeted about the incident with a picture of police rescuing the three-year-old.

According to the reports, the boy and his grandfather were travelling in a Maruti car from Srinagar to Handwara. They were caught in a crossfire when a spray of bullets ht them in Sopore town, which is in Baramulla district about 50 km from Srinagar.

In a similar incident last week, a five-year-old boy was killed in a terrorist attack. Reportedly, Nihaan Bhat was sleeping in a parked car when he was hit by a bullet. Police say the terrorist was on a bike and opened fire from a pistol on a CRPF patrol.

The killing of the child drew widespread anger and condemnation.
