In a tweet, the veteran Congress leader called for a revolt “against a government that is assuming all the people of India are fools”
Social media erupted on Friday and demanded the arrest of senior Congress leader P Chidambaram, wherein a recent tweet, he called for a revolt against the government. This remark was part of a set of tweets he posted, criticizing the government on its handling of the pandemic.
In a series of tweets, Chidambaram commented on Union Health Minister Dr. Harshvardhan’s remark where he said that there was no shortage of oxygen, vaccines or Remdesivir and termed it ‘appalling’.

“I am also appalled by the statement of the UP Chief Minister that there there is no shortage of vaccines in UP” the tweet read further.
In another tweet, Chidambaram countered the Ministers’ claim and said “Are all the television channels telecasting fake visuals? Are all the newspaper stories incorrect? Are all the doctors lying? Are all the family members making false statements? Are all the visuals and photographs fake?

This tweet led to severe criticism and many called for the Home Ministry to take action against the former Union Finance Minister.
