Yogi Adityanath Blames Congress For The Auraiya Accident

Adityanath said that the migrants who suffered the accident in Auraiya, some 200 KMs away from the capital Lucknow, were coming from the Congress-ruled states of Rajasthan and Punjab.

Lucknow| Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath blamed the leadership of the Indian National Congress for the accident in Auraiya of UP where 26 migrants were killed and more than 30 were injured over the weekend.

The Uttar Pradesh unit of Congress party had accused the state government of being insensitive towards the plight of migrant workers demanding the Chief Minister to resign. The Samajwadi Party also referred to the incident as “murder”.

Adityanath said that the migrants who suffered the accident in Auraiya, some 200 KMs away from the capital Lucknow, were coming from the Congress-ruled states of Rajasthan and Punjab.

“The Congress leadership should understand that one truck (involved in the accident) was from Rajasthan, while the other was coming from Punjab,” Yogi Adityanath as reported by news agency PTI.

“A hefty amount of money was taken from the migrant labourers, who were returning to Bihar and Jharkhand. What were they (Congress) doing then? You will exploit people and then put up an honest face,” Adityanath alleged.

“The (Hindi) idiom ”100 chuhe khaakar, billi Haj ko chali” (a cat seeking salvation after consuming 100 rats)” fits on the Congress today. This is the shameful face of Congress. I condemn the Congress leadership for making fun of the migrant labourers,” the UP Cm further added.

UP CM Yogi Adityanath has been facing a flack for mishandling the migrant’s issue. The UP government had sealed all its border districts and has ordered the district administration to not let migrants enter the state by foot, cycle, buses, etc. The state governemnt has also ordered to provide shelter and food to these migrants till the state governemnt organizes transport facilities for them.
