As the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections approach, a war of slogans has broken out between the political parties. When the elections were held in West Bengal, ‘Khela Hobe’ became quite famous. Now its Bhojpuri version remains a topic of discussion in UP. Akhilesh Yadav’s party SP has given the slogan of Khela Hoi on the lines of Khela Hobe. Hoardings of Khela Hoi can be seen in many places in Purvanchal these days. On the other hand, in Kanpur late on Monday night, someone put up hoardings asking to be “beware of donation thrives”.
People were surprised to see these hoardings at the Sachan crossroads of Barra in Kanpur as nothing is written on it except “Chanda Choro Se Savdhan” (Beware of donation thieves). No one knows who put up these hoardings. Police say that CCTV footages are being scanned and on the basis of that efforts are being made to find out.

Banner with such an election slogan first appeared in Varanasi. Former SP MLA Abdul Samad Ansari got it written on the wall outside his house in Varanasi. The former MLA had got the slogan Khela Hoi written on the walls of the house on Maqbool Alam Road with the SP’s election symbol cycle.
As the UP assembly elections approach, political parties have started appearing in the mode of action. From wooing the public in some way to attracting them, all kinds of efforts are being made.
