Bhadohi Horror: Missing Girl Found Dead In UP Village, Locals Claim Body Burnt With Acid

On Monday, the teen had gone missing when she went to graze buffaloes. In the afternoon, her body was found in a part of Jaunpur district that is on the border of Bhadohi.

Lucknow| A teenage girl, who had gone missing from her village in Bhadohi district of eastern Uttar Pradesh, was found dead Thursday. The UP police suspect that she was murdered and are waiting for the postmortem report. This is reportedly the fourth case of violence against minors in the last 3 weeks in UP.

The face and upper body of the teen bore burn injuries, said the police. Though the locals claimed that that acid was poured on her, the police said they would wait for the postmortem report. The report is also likely to confirm whether she was sexually assaulted.

On Monday, the teen had gone missing when she went to graze buffaloes. In the afternoon, her body was found in a part of Jaunpur district that is on the border of Bhadohi.

“The parents said their daughter had gone to graze the buffaloes and did not return. We had filed a case. The family had named some suspects and we even questioned them but we had not managed to trace the girl. We have now found her dead body, we are getting a post mortem done,” Ram Badan Singh, the chief of the local police.

“Prima facie it appears that the girl has been murdered… It will be clearer from postmortem. It appears that she was burnt with some substance, but its nature will be clear after a postmortem,” Singh added.

UP has been reporting horrendous instances of violence for the last few weeks. The rape of a 6-year-old in Hapur, the rape and murder of a 13-yr-old in Lakhimpur Kheri had already raised questions over law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh.

To make it worse, in UP CM’s home turf Gorakhpur, a teenage girl was allegedly raped by two men and her body singed with cigarette butts.
