BJP MP Nayab Saini’s car rammed into farmers protesting, 1 injured

Ambala : Farmers in Haryana were protesting against the farm laws. On the protest site BJP MP Nayab Saini’s car rammed into the farmers protesting. In the convoy farmers said one of the farmers was injured.

The injured farmer was admitted to government hospital in Naraingarh near Ambala, where the incident took place. He has got discharge after treatment. He has been released after treatment, and said he was standing by the side of the road when he was knocked over by the vehicle following that in which the MP was seated.

The farmers have called to file FIR against the car’s driver. Farmers have threatened to gherao, or surround, the police station on October 10 if this is not done.

Nayab Saini, the Kurukshetra MP, and other party leaders, including state Mining Minister Mool Chand Sharma, were attending an event held at the Saini Bhawan in Naraingarh.

As the event concluded, and the convoy of cars exited the area, one of the vehicles allegedly hit a farmer. A large group had gathered outside Saini Bhawan to protest the BJP leaders’ visit.

Regarding this Ambala’s incident and keeping in mind the Lakhimpur violence, Youth Congress National President Srinivas BV tweeted, “Has the BJP gone mad? BJP MP from Kurukshetra Nayab Saini’s convoy rammed a protesting farmer in Narayangarh, Ambala, admitted to hospital in critical condition.”

This incident comes after Lakhimpur violence, in which eight people were allegedly killed. Uttar Pradesh’s Lakhimpur Kheri after a convoy of cars, which included one owned by Union Minister Ajay Mishra and allegedly driven by his son Ashish, rammed into a group of farmers holding a peaceful protest.

Yesterday a video of the Lakhimpur Kheri incident emerged online – a clearer and longer version of the clip that was circulated earlier this week – and showed a SUV that seems to deliberately ram into a group of farmers walking peacefully with their backs to the vehicle.
