An Instagram chat group with 100s of Delhi boys was primarily used for sharing photos of underage girls, objectifying them and morphing their pictures.
New Delhi| The boy, above 18 who started the”Bois Locker Room” Instagram group was arrested today. The group was primarily used to share offensive messages and morphed photos of underage girls.
The arrested boy studies in a Noida school and took the Class 12 exams this year.
Fifteen more students of prominent Delhi schools have been questioned and their phones have been seized.
The police have identified 27 members of the group – some were underage and some 18 and older.
A Twitter user had shared some petrifying details on Sunday about an Instagram chat group comprising of boys that were highly offensive.
Screenshots shared by a South Delhi girl that has become viral now exposes the horrendous details of a group called âBois Locker Roomâ. The group is said to be on Instagram.
The participants of the said group have been accused by the girl of âmorphing pictures of girls their ageâ, and that she and her friends are âfreaking outâ because of it.
The stories took twitter by storm and many men and women started condemning and expressing anger over the act.
The women who shared and reposted the stories have allegedly received rape threats.
The list of the participants of the group was also shared widely. Many of the listed IG handles have gone unavailable since the group was busted.
Most of the boys are said to be under 18 and many were school going. The girls whose picture the boys shared were as young as 14.

Participants of the said group anonymously resorted to âwarningâ the girl who busted them.
The group chat was then deleted, however, a new one was made so that they donât get caught.
This whole âlocker roomâ chat has exposed the maligned image of women in our society and how they are always treated secondary even by the school going boys.
Delhi Police is investigating the matter.
The whole incident put a question mark on our education system which is not doing enough to educate our children on subjects like human rights, sexism, misogyny, toxic masculinity and privilege.
