Bhopal| Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has tested positive for the highly infectious novel Coronavirus. The 61 years old leader is latest among the number of politicians testing positive for COVID-19. However, he is the first Chief Minister in the country to have been infected with Coronavirus.
Taking it to Twitter, Chouhan informed his followers that he had developed symptoms of Coronavirus and upon conducting a test, his reports came out to be positive. He also appealed all those who came in his contact to get themselves tested and quarantine.

“I was having #COVID19 symptoms. After the test, my report came back positive. I appeal to all my colleagues and whoever has come in contact with me that they should get their Coronavirus test done. Those who were in close contact should quarantine themselves,” Shivraj Singh Chouhan tweeted.

Asking people to not panic, Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that if treated on time, then Coronavirus can be cured. He said he has been reviewing the status of coronavirus infection every evening since 25th March. “I will try to review Corona with video conferencing as much as possible now,” he said.
