Senior advocate Harish Salve, who is representing Arnab Goswami in the Supreme Court, demanded a CBI inquiry into the case.
New Delhi| The Supreme Court on Wednesday granted interim bail to Arnab Goswami, editor-in-chief of Republic TV. The Bombay High Court had earlier rejected Arnab’s bail application, after which he challenged the decision in the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court also reprimanded the Uddhav government during the hearing of Arnab’s plea. The court said that if the state governments target a person, then they should understand that we (the apex court) will protect it.
Senior advocate Harish Salve, who is representing Arnab in the Supreme Court, demanded a CBI inquiry into the case. At the same time, on Arnab’s petition, the Maharashtra government had filed a caveat saying that no order should be issued without hearing its side.
