CBI Team Raids Mamata Banerjee’s Nephew Abhishek Banerjee’s Residence, Issues Summons To Wife

It is interesting that this summons of CBI has come at a time when Abhishek Banerjee had filed defamation against Amit Shah.

 

Before the upcoming assembly elections in West Bengal, the difficulties seem to be increasing for Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. The CBI team has issued summons to her nephew and Trinamool MP Abhishek Banerjee and his wife. The CBI has taken this action against Abhishek’s wife in a case related to coal smuggling.

According to the information, the CBI team reached Abhishek Banerjee’s house on Sunday. The CBI has issued summons to Abhishek Banerjee’s wife for the first time in the case related to coal smuggling. The CBI has summoned Abhishek’s wife Rujira Narula and his sister-in-law for questioning.

The investigation of the case has been going on since November last year

The investigation in this matter related to coal smuggling has been going on since November. In December, the CBI raided the residence of businessmen Amit Singh and Neeraj Singh, along with TMC leader Vinay Mishra. It is alleged that coal worth thousands of crores of rupees is sold in the black market.

Banerjee had filed a defamation case on the Home Minister

It is interesting that this summons of CBI has come at a time when Abhishek Banerjee had filed defamation against Amit Shah. On Abhishek’s appeal, a summons has been issued to Amit Shah and the Special MP / MLA Court has asked him to appear in person or through a lawyer on February 22. Abhishek Banerjee’s lawyer Sanjay Basu had claimed that Amit Shah had made derogatory statements against the TMC MP during a BJP rally in Kolkata.
