KC Venugopal moves suspension notice in RS for discussion on Inflation

New Delhi: Congress has given notices in the both Houses of Parliament on the issue of inflation and has demanded discussion on the price rise of essential commodities.

Congress MP Manish Tewari on Thursday gave an adjournment motion notice in Lok Sabha on the issue of ‘rising inflation’. KC Venugopal moved suspension notice in RS for discussion on inflation.

In his letter to the Rajya Sabha Chairman, Venugopal said, “I hereby give notice under the Rule 276 of the Rules of procedure and conduct of Business in the Council of states Rajya Sabha of my intention to move the following motion for the suspension of business listed for December 2021. Need to suspend the business of the day to have a a discussion in the house on the rising prices of the essential commodities and high inflation resting in huge financial burden on the common people in the country.”

Meanwhile, Congress MP KC Venugopal moved the suspension of business notice under rule 267 to have a discussion in the House on ‘the rising prices of essential commodities and high inflation resulting in huge financial burden on common people in the country’.

The winter session of the Parliament commenced on Monday and is likely to conclude on December 23.
