Total coronavirus cases in India jump to 177. 4 people have died due to the outbreak in the country while more than 9,000 have died all over the world.
New Delhi| In view of the coronavirus outbreak, no scheduled international commercial flights will land from March 22 till March 29 in India, announced the Health Ministry Thursday.
In a routine press briefing today, Joint Secretary Health and Family Welfare Department Luv Aggarwal issued the new COVID-19 guidelines and informed that metros, trains, buses and aircraft should reduce the frequency, ensure alternate sitting for social distancing. He added that there has been no community transmission in the country so far.

The number of coronavirus cases in India jumped to 177 on Thursday. Mumbai also reported two fresh cases this morning, taking the total number of patients in Maharashtra to 49.
In Tamil Nadu, authorities have identified what they call is a “domestic case.” Prime Minister Narendra Modi will today address the nation to talk about steps being taken against the virus.
India is also looking at expanding the pool of random testing samples for COVID-19 to include patients with atypical pneumonia, which presents symptoms slightly different from pneumonia.
The death toll from coronavirus has topped 9000 globally.

Senior citizens are advised to stay home by the central government.
