Coronvirus In India: 22 States Record Less Than 500 Cases In The past 24 Hours

In the last 24-hours, less than 500 new Coronavirus cases were reported in 22 states and union territories of the country.

 

The cases of coronavirus in the country are continuously decreasing. On Friday, 60,739 infected people were identified, 97,779 patients recovered, while 1,645 lost their lives. The number of active cases i.e. patients undergoing treatment came down by 38,709. In the last 24-hours, less than 500 new cases were reported in 22 states and union territories of the country. At the same time, less than 1000 infected people were identified in 14 states.

States With less Than 500 New Cases

Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Goa, Puducherry, Chandigarh, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Ladakh, Sikkim, Mizoram, Dadra-Nagar Haveli and Daman-Diu, Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar.

States With More Than 500 New Cases

Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Telangana, Punjab, Assam, Jammu and Kashmir, Manipur and Meghalaya.

Total new cases in the last 24 hours: 60,739
Total recovered in last 24 hours: 97,779
Total deaths in last 24 hours: 1,645
Total infected so far: 2.98 crore
Total Discharges: 2.86 crores
Total deaths: 3.85 lakh
Total number of patients currently undergoing treatment: 7.54 lakh

Lockdown-like Restrictions in 11 states

There are restrictions like complete lockdown in 11 states of the country. These include Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Mizoram, Goa, Telangana, West Bengal and Puducherry. Strict restrictions have been imposed here as in the previous lockdown.

Partial lockdown in 21 states/UTs

There is a partial lockdown in 21 states and union territories of the country. These include Kerala, Bihar, Delhi, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Uttarakhand, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Assam, Manipur, Tripura, Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat.
