Delhi Police Arrests ISIS Operative After Firing, Recovers IED

According to media reports, the second terrorist escaped during the encounter, police are raiding many areas in search of him.

 

New Delhi| Delhi Police has foiled a major terrorist conspiracy. The Special Cell of Police arrested an Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist after the encounter. There were several rounds of firing between the police and the terrorist. IED explosives have also been found in possession of the terrorist who have been neutralized. Police took the action on Friday night on Ridge Road between Dhaula Kuan and Karol Bagh.

The name of the terrorist caught is Abu Yusuf Khan. He is being questioned at the Special Cell office located at Lodhi Road. He had done recce in many areas. According to media reports, the second terrorist escaped during the encounter, police are raiding many areas in search of him. Those who helped the terrorists are also being traced.

 

A Doctor was caught in Bengaluru on charges of connection to ISIS

The action was taken by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday. Doctor Rehman (28) has been an ophthalmologist at MS Ramaiya Medical College. There are allegations that Rahman is linked to IS. Rahman’s arrest was made on the basis of information received from a person associated with IS and his wife. The husband and wife were arrested in Delhi in March.
