Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will launch distribution of Rythu Bandhu farmers investment support scheme cheques and new Pattadar (title holder) passbooks on May 10 at Huzurabad in Karimnagar District.
The programme would be officially launched in all districts of the state on the same day at 11.15 AM, a release from his office said.
“From the next day, the distribution programme starts from7.00 AM to 11.00 AM and 5.00 PM to 7.30 PM, keeping in view the severe heat conditions prevailing in the state, it said.
Rao asked officials to set up tents and provide drinking water facilities at the cheque and passbook distribution centres, the release added.
Under the scheme, the state government will provide Rs 8,000 per acre to farmers.
A separate release from the CMO quoted Rao as saying that it is a moment of pride for the Telangana state as “one of its children” topped the civil services examination.
