V K Sasikala granted a 15-day parole for attending husband’s funeral

Jailed leader of AIAMDK V K Sasikala has been granted a 15-day parole in order to be able to attend her husband’s funeral and it is being considered said the prison sources today in Bengaluru.

M Natarajan, aged 74, passed away at a hospital in the Chennai earlier this morning.

As per the sources, “Sasikala has applied for parole for 15 days and it is under consideration”.

It was on Saturday that Natarajan was admitted to a hospital with an acute chest infection and was put on a ventilator. He underwent a kidney transplant last year.

His body was kept at his residence in Besant Nagar in Chennai for people to pay their last respects. As per the sources that are close to Natarajan’s family state that his body will be taken to his native village in the district of Thanjavur in Tamil Nadu for last rites.

As of now, Sasikala is serving a prison term of four years in the case of 66.6 crore disproportionate assets at the Parappana Agrahara jail in Bengaluru.
