EaseMyTrip employees donate their one day salary for Kerala relief fund

EaseMyTrip.com, a travel company of India, has stepped in to assist the relief efforts for the Kerala flood. As a part of the broader support for Kerala floods, EaseMyTrip’s employees have taken an initiative to donate their one day salary for the cause and stand up in this hour of need.

As the situation in Kerala continues to be gloomy since the number of deaths has reached more than 357. More than 4 lakh people have already been taken to relief camps of the state. Through the initiative of contributing one day salary, the company would be able to collect around 10 lakhs and the fund will be used to buy essential products like raw food items, clothes, medicines, first aids, sanitary napkins and a lot more things that are required by people over there.

Being part of a travel company, employees of EaseMyTrip have a special emotion for Kerala, God’s Own Country. It is one of the most desired tourist destinations of India where lots of people go for spiritual relaxation. Since Kerala is facing a calamity of severe nature, the company’s employees have taken the onus of step-in for this cause when the nation needs. Along with employees’ one-day salary contribution, the management will also contribute an equal amount of the total collection.

“Saddened and with a very heavy heart, it’s not just us, also the nation is stepping up for the god’s own country, what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean with a hope that we are able to help someone, somewhere and someway. While our emotions and thoughts are just a replication of our actions, let’s all rise up to the situation and contribute to appease the same. However, small or big it may be.” said Mr. Rikant Pitti, COO & Co-founder of EaseMyTrip.
