PM Modi’s Message on World Environment Day

Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged people to utilise natural resources and said that the government’s effort and people’s participation can help bring about a cleaner and greener planet on the occasion of World Environment Day.

“Together, let us ensure that our future generations live in a clean and green planet, in harmony with nature,” tweeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday morning hours on the occasion of World Environment Day.

World Environment Day is the “people’s day” for doing something to take care of the Earth.

Each year, this day is organised around a theme that focuses attention on a particularly pressing environmental concern.

The day was first celebrated in 1974, trying to raise public awareness on rising environmental concerns from global warming. The initiative is led by United Nations.
