Coronavirus Vaccines will be transported from airports to storage centres with Z+ security in different cities.
Pune| The first consignment of Coronavirus vaccine Covishield left for the airport from the Serum Institute in Pune on Tuesday morning. Earlier, a puja was performed. From Pune Airport, 478 boxes of vaccines will be delivered in 13 cities of the country. The first flight has reached Delhi with 34 boxes. Vaccines will be transported from airports to storage centres with Z+ security in different cities.

Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said that 56.5 lakh doses of the vaccine are being sent to different cities from 9 flights of Air India, SpiceJet, GoAir and Indigo Airlines from Pune. These cities are Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Guwahati, Shillong, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Bhubaneswar, Patna, Bengaluru, Lucknow and Chandigarh.
