The Air Force Chief visited Leh on 17 June and Srinagar Airbase on 18 June. Both these airbases are near the eastern Ladakh region.
Leh| After the martyrdom of 20 soldiers in a violent clash with Chinese soldiers near Galwan valley, India has stepped up its preparations to deal with any situation. Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria reached Leh on Wednesday. His visit came in the light of border tensions between the two countries which continue to simmer. After this, he also went to Srinagar airbase. Meanwhile, the Air Force has shifted its fighter planes to forward bases and airfields.

News agency ANI quoted a government source as saying that the Air Force Chief had made a two-day visit. China has deployed more than 10,000 troops near the Line of Actual Control in eastern Ladakh. In such a situation, the Air Force Chief reviewed the operational preparedness to deal with any situation.
