Gehlot-Pilot To Face Each Other After A Month At Legislative Party Meeting

The MLA of Gehlot camp returned to Jaipur from Jaisalmer on Wednesday. They are again lodged at the same Hotel Fairmont

 

Jaipur| Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and former Deputy CM Sachin Pilot will face each other today for the first time in over a month 3 days after Sachin Pilot’s reconciliation with Congress. Today the Congress Legislature Party meeting in Jaipur can be held in Assembly house or the Chief Minister’s residence. MLAs from both camps will be present in the meeting. After the meeting, there will be a round of reconciliation between the two groups. It will be interesting to see how Gehlot and Pilot meet.

Assembly session from 14 August

The MLA of Gehlot camp returned to Jaipur from Jaisalmer on Wednesday. They are again lodged at the same Hotel Fairmont, from where they went to Jaisalmer on 31 July. On this whole political development, Gehlot said – “Forget and forget, forget, forgive and move forward.” The assembly session will begin from 14 August where Gehlot is expected to prove his numbers.

Meanwhile, Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal arrived at Hotel Fairmont in Jaipur this morning. He will be present in the meeting of the legislature party. State in-charge Avinash Pandey, party leaders Randeep Surjewala and Ajay Maken will also join.

The BJP has called a meeting of the legislature party at the party headquarters at 11 am to chalk out a strategy for the assembly session starting on Friday. BJP state president Satish Poonia says that issues related to common people will be discussed in the meeting.

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot tweeted late night and hoped that the Corona crisis is expected to be openly discussed during the assembly session in Rajasthan assembly.
