An argument between the speaker and Congress MLA went so far that the Congress MLA Pratap Dudhat even attacked a fellow BJP MLA with a rod of a microphone inside Assembly house.
The Indian Democracy hit a low when the Finance bill and Appropriation bill was passed in the Lok Sabha without any discussion on Wednesday. If this was not enough the elected members of Gujarat Legislative Assembly hit another low by resorting to violence inside the assembly.
An argument between the speaker and Congress MLAs went so far that the Congress MLA Pratap Dudhat even attacked a fellow BJP MLA with a rod of microphone given in the Assembly house. Rajendra Trivedi, the Gujarat Assembly speaker suspended Dudhat who hails from Savarkundla for five years.
BJP has been delibrately mocking & instigating @INCGujarat MLAs whenever they raise pertinent questions in assembly. Today also to scuttle questions on the murder of 2 children at Asharam's Ashram @BJP4India created ruckus in #GujaratAssembly & instigated our MLAs. https://t.co/nf8U0d39tj

The entire incident started when the speaker of the house did not allow Jamnagar Congress MLA Vikram Maadam to raise a point of order. Instead, the speaker gave the chance to another Congress MLA Shailesh Parmar. Maadam however, was agitated and raised an objection. Following which Parmar sat down and made way for Maadam to speak. But speaker still did not permit him to talk, which made two Congress MLAs Virji Thummar and Amrish Der furious.
Der even started questioning the speaker’s intentions behind not permitting Maadam to talk. The speaker who took a strong objection to this question suspended both the MLAs creating a ruckus for the day.
This made another Congress MLA Prakash Dudhat furious and he ran towards BJP MLAs. Before anyone could understand, he pulled out a microphone from the nearby table and started hitting BJP MLA Jagdish Panchal with it.
