As per reports, the workers are from various states such as Rajasthan, Odisha, UP and Bihar.
Earlier, in an incident, locals had hurled stones at the police in Surat for implementing the lockdown in the city. Locals reportedly got upset when a police van reached Dindoli area to enforce the lockdown.
