Haryana Assembly Passes Bill Providing 75% Reservation To Local Youths In Private Jobs

After the bill was passed, Dushyant Chautala tweeted, “Our promise to lakhs of youth of Haryana has been fulfilled today.”

 

Chandigarh| The bill providing 75% reservation in the private jobs of the state to locals has been passed in the Haryana Legislative Assembly on Thursday. After the passing of the bill, the state government said that youth from Haryana will no longer need to migrate to other states in search of jobs.

According to Haryana State Employment of Local Candidates, Bill, 2020, private companies operating in Haryana will have to reserve 75% of the jobs for locals. This provision has been introduced for jobs that offer a salary of less than Rs 50,000 a month. BJP’s ruling alliance partner in the state, JJP had made this poll promise before the Assembly elections last year. Fulfilling the promise, Deputy CM of the state, Dushyant Chautala introduced the bill in the state assembly.

After the bill was passed, Dushyant Chautala tweeted, “Our promise to lakhs of youth of Haryana has been fulfilled today. Now in 75% of all private jobs in the state will be Haryana youth. This moment, which came exactly one year after becoming part of the government, is emotional for me. I always wish to serve you with the inspiration of Jannayak and with your support, this is my wish. ”

 

Along with this, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has decided that on the first day of the assembly session, in the interest of the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates, it has been announced that the age relaxation of five years in EWS category candidates will be given in police recruitment. The Chief Minister also informed during the session that the State Government has implemented the provision of 10 per cent reservation for EWS category candidates in government jobs on the lines of the Central Government policy.
